Solar Sharing Sisaengtham “Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)” Today, Khok E Doiy valley not just having an “Agriculture Learning Center” but it also contains an “Alternative Power Learning Lab” which currently under an examination of solar sharing for agriculture crop. This experiment will focus on growing organic crop & plant underneath solar roof.

This examination conducts the installation of a 90 kWp. of solar panel together with a 500-kWh. energy storage. The idea is to have a transparent solar panel that absorb sunlight for power and having it shine through the panel for crop to grow under it. This storage of power system called Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) is the work of 3 parties which are National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) and Wat Pasisaengtham.
The purpose of this project is aim to reduce the fluctuate of electric current that derive from alternative power source and with this BESS system, it will act as a storage power room that can store a daily remaining power or use it to store power during the time of off-peak use. Hence, this power could bring to use when needed or when the conventional power system is off.

This is an experiment of the future of electricity. It can be charge and dis-charge and it is made to work with RE100 policy which is currently a world’s clean energy trend.
In term of factory production, during peak hour, this BESS can generate power for supporting a conventional power system, and regarding this, it could help reduce expense as well.
The Solar Sharing Sisaengtham consist of 2 parts, first, a sharing of sun light between transparent solar panel and crop that grow underneath, second, the power derive will be use within the temple. in the future, when prosumer electric system is well established, there is an idea of selling these remaini ng unuse power according to it as well.
Floating solar
In case of crop growing underneath transparent solar panel, the good thing is that, this solar panel can reduce the temperature before it touches the ground, reduce a strong power of sunlight and reduce the chance of soil’s water loss. As a result, this idea can help an agriculture crop grow properly, saving up money for user and the use of clean energy is the way for creating sustainability for the world. Today, Wat Pasisaengtham together with partners will soon carry out the experiment of “Agrivotaics” or “Agrophotovoltaics” and you will hear the result of success very soon.
Thank you to:

Agriculturalization The area roughly about 34 rais (13.4 acres) in Wat pasisaengtham is continuously to develop according to the project called land development follows the principle of new agriculture theory: Khok Nong Na Model. The idea is to transform the empty unuse land to create a model of lifelong learning center regarding agriculture under the purpose of life and community development. Hence, the idea also applies the principle of religion as well as the concept of Bio Circular Green economy policy (government’s latest economy policy) in order to uplift the grassroot economic which altogether its aim to derive the sustainability. Today, the daily food resources that is serving 200+ students together with teachers in Wat pasisaengtham school come from the project. The surplus products also give out to temple nearby and people in need.
In the future, this 34 rais of land will include the “Dharma Garden”, which set up to be a meditation place for people who visit, and for monk, this garden is a proper place for practice. “Property only with us until the last breath, however, the development in property especially in the religion property, will lives forever and will distribute for others”. This devoted will count as a meritorious deed that will support others, community, religion and country and it will be witnesses generation through generation.
Today, this project of agriculturalization will once again, boosted its progress right after the end of Buddhist Lent period. There will be experts such as Associate Professor Worrawan Rojjanapaiboon, Professor assistant Phichet Sowitthayakul altogether with the team from King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang and the team of engineers from Khon Kaen University, that will join hands together to design and develop the area for better use. Moreover, there will be a kick off of a newly project called “Smart Intensive Farming” as well. Thank you Phra Panyawachiramoli Susen, Wat pasisaengtham
Solar Hospital Project for 77 Hospitals in 77 Provinces

The installment cost about 3.3 – 3.5 million. A hospital can produce about 112 Kw per installment which can save about 806,000 baht per year and about 24 million throughout 30 years of lifelong usage. of lifelong usage. So far, Wat Pasisaengtham Temple has helped install solar cells system in 9 hospitals including;
Solar Hodpital
1. Bantak Hospital, Tak Province : 137 kw, 3.4 million invested donated by hospital and clergy
2. Tawat Buri Hospital, Roiet Province: 134 kw, 3.9 million invested, donated by hospital director and locals
3. Ban Preaw Hospital Samut Sakhon Province: 110.88 kw, 3.3 million invested, donated by entrepreneur
4. Sang Khom Hospital, Nongkhai Province: 110.88 ka 3.3 million
5. Khon Jeam Hospital: 110.88 kw, 3.3 million invested, donated by Wat Pasisaengtham Temple
6. Gu Gaew Hospital, Udonthani Province: 108.12 kw, 3.2 million invested, donated by the Venerable Ajarn Chaiya Aphichayo Watpa Bankor and Wat Pasisaengtham Temple
7. Jang Han Hospital Roiet Province: 13.38 kw, 500,000 baht invested, donated by Venerable Grandfather Thongin Katapanyo
9. Nan Hospital, Nan Province: 112.33 kw, 3.4 million invested, donated by entrepreneur
The voluntarily donated money was made by many different donors including the locals, local firms, local entrepreneurs, Wat Pasisaengtham Temple, hospitals, and local clergy. The d’onation is on voluntary basis where Wat Pasisaengtham Temple establishes “Chang Kor Khaw” monitoring team to oversee the donation.
For a hospital that is interested in this project; although some of the funds are from donation, additional investment fund from the hospital is also required. All the funds and donations are to be oversee by “Chang Kor Khaw” monitoring team and will be allocated to each hospital accordingly.
This project is an example of how monks and clergy can contribute to helping the public on health related issues that has become a turmoil in our society. Once a hospital can reduce some of its electricity expense, a hospital can use the additional money to provide better medical service to the people such as acquiring medical equipment or hiring more staffs.
